Fleas
Please don’t bring your dog to us if you know they currently have fleas. This puts both my clients dogs and my own dogs at risk of catching them. This is especially important if I collect your dogs
If fleas are found on your dog whilst grooming I will have to wash them in special anti flea shampoo and deep clean the salon and equipment. This will incur an added charge.
If you have already booked in we can simply reschedule
Matts
Please ensure you’re brushing your dog correctly with the appropriate brush at home as often as you can between grooms.
Whilst I understand matts will always be an issue and in some cases unavoidable, please inform me beforehand as to how matted your dog is so I can allow more time for the groom if needed. This will incur an added charge in cases of excessive matting.
Late cancellation/Collection & No shows
If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment please let me know at least 24 hours in advance so I can fill the empty slot.
If you have not given sufficient notice, an extra charge will be added to your next appointment and either a deposit or full amount will need to be paid before rebooking. This payment will need to be made via the payment link I send you prior to booking. This is none refundable should you cancel late again or not show up for your appointment. If you’re informed your dog is ready to collect it must be collected within 30mins. Anything longer than this will be charged at £5 per 15 mins.
Cuts
Whilst it is extremely rare, please be aware cuts are always a possibility when grooming a dog. I am using sharp scissors and clipper blades on wriggling dogs that don’t understand why they need a hair cut. Minor cuts will be treated with styptic powder to clot the blood and help heal. If in the unlikely event your dog needs more medical attention, they will be taken to the closest vets for treatment. Be aware Boneyard will not be held responsible for any costs incurred.
